This event didn't draw many players. I couldn't understand why everyone would rather play the Quick rated events. The Bluff City Open had a prize fund, but not enough people. It needed 20 players to give out a better prize fund. If our next event doesn't pan out, we will have to go back to having all Quick events and no slow chess at all. I don't want the 40/2 time controls to die out, but who knows what players want to do?
